Microsoft buys Mojang
It has now been announced that Microsoft is buying Mojang - the makers of Minecraft.

We're seeing yet another example of young people developing something interesting, gaining a loyal following and/or mainstream appeal, and then... ka-ching!

100 years since Franz Ferdinand
News by NorlanderToday, exactly 100 years ago, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo by Gavrilo Princip. 1 month later, on the 28th of July 1914, the Great War broke out.

Across the internet there will be many articles published over the next month. Some will focus on the bigger picture and grand strategic considerations that fueled the march to war, others will focus on personal tragedies and stories of heroism.

I just wanted to share this picture, which has always fascinated me (click on more to see it :)

Voyager Enters Interstellar Space
News by Norlander
"Voyager is in interstellar space — the space between the stars."
- Dr. Ed Stone, Voyager Project Scientist

We've heard it a few times already, but now NASA has finally confirmed it - Voyager has reached interstellar space a the first man made object. This is a profound moment in human history, up there with the first circumnavigation of the planet Earth, the first spaceflight, and the first human on another celestial object (the Moon). But I fear it will largely go unnoticed in today's world of multimedia celeb gossip - ask people in 5 years time where they were when it was announced that mankind had managed to send an object out of the solar system and they'll look at you with a puzzled face.

Many centuries from now some civilization will find this golden disk - maybe it will be a human civilization retracing their roots. All we know today is that it has finally made it's way to the interstellar medium; traveling among the stars.

works with no issues in normal version of Firefox. I'm guessing you either did not do CTRL+F5 or are using some adblock plugin.

Use Firefox and it blocks all sorts of unwanted stuff of course.
