 The Winter Blues |  Lately I have been in a state of mind where I cannot get anything done, the days seem to drift by and even going out shopping seems like an undertaking. It’s similar to a depression, but my life isn’t in too bad a shape at the moment, so the cause is something else…and my money is on the Winter Blues. |

| The discriminating Dollar |  The United States Government discriminates against the blind. This, a US judge ruled in a lawsuit filed by The American Council of the Blind against the U.S. Treasury Department.
The judge has ruled, that the united States Treasury Dept. must change the size and color of the currency bills, issued by the US government, because a blind person can not distinguish between the various bills in circulation.

| Whale killing cartoon |  Apparently, the whale and dolphin conservation society made an educational cartoon about whale killing in the Faroe Islands back in 1989. Anthony Hopkins narrates how the islanders gleefully torture these poor, screaming mammals to death, after which they are left to rot.
Seeing this made me think how easy it is to be taken in by propaganda. Had I not been native to the Faroe Islands I doubt I would ever question the validity of such a movie.
