This kind of attention-seeking drivel really lowers the debate on airport security. You should think that people would have better things to than to re-invent gunpowder, but anything to fill the blog I suppose.
There is too much airport security and most of it is to put our minds at ease - great, tell us something we don't know. People manage to smuggle all sort of shit more dangerous than 3 wet bags of gunpowder components.
But now we have a commments system so people have the possibility to justify their negs

The bomb sniffing machine didn't pick it up either, and as she wrote she could have put it in alcohol (which would make for easy drying), the bamboo sticks are to make the pipe bombs and 140g of gunpowder is enough to blow a hole in the plane.
Well I think that it's good that people highlight this. It is incredibly stupid to spend $30.000.000.000 (the TSA budget in the US) a year on a system that doesn't work. So how about scaling it back down, allow us to take toothpaste on the plane again and spend that money on proper law enforcement.
Norlanderon January 02 2009 16:27:11 Another reason why it's good that someone questions airport security and this Orwellian state we have brought upon ourselves. The old white woman in the original gunpowder link got away with it because she was an old white woman, if she had been an arab like the people in this link she might have been thrown off the plane for no reason at all.
