This could have been interesting if the prices were right, not all of them are. |
on May 03 2016 10:59:02
Yeah the differences are larger than that |

I don't know the Copenhagen prices, but some of the prices in Torshavn are way too high. |

A couple of years ago, I remember reading something similar in Sosialurin or Dimma. I noticed that for the price comparisons, they had used cheap brands from e.g. Netto or Aldi for the Danish prices and up-scale brands for the Faroese ones.
Also, I remember that for some prices they didn't use packaged foods, but per kilo prices in supermarkets. The survey didn't take into account that faroese people usually buy potatoes in 2, 3 or 5 kilo bags - but the survey the per kilo price of single potatoes in Miklagarður/FK. |

The Faroese prices are WAY too high. This comparison is bullshit. |

For example, imported beer 18, cappucino 25, water 14, milk 10.50, loaf of white bread 10, local cheese N/A, chicken breasts 25, apples, bananas and oranges 15, taxi start 75 (including 10min and 5km!), taxi 1km 12.42, taxi 1hour 390, 1min prepaid phone 1.60, internet 449, monthly fee fitness 180 og onkur afturat sum eg veit à høvdinum. The restaurant numbers are quite high for Copenhagen, and often set quite low for Torshavn.
Tórshavn:
There is no 3 course meal for two people in a mid restaurant (like 11) for 550 in Tórshavn.
Copenhagen:
The domestic beer in a shop is 5 to 7 (30 to 42 per sixpack). If you go to Bilka and buy in bulk it's even cheaper.
The rice costs between 5 (for the cheap) and 12 (for the whole organic setup) kr per kg here and not 15.53.
Two kilo of oranges are 20 kr in season, and 25kr outside (I eat quite a bit of those), and not the 20.12 per 1 kg.
2 kg of tomatos are 20 kr, and not 1 kg for 30 as listed.
A midrange wine is 50 and not 60.
Basic utilities are nowhere near 1200 per month, more like 600 to 800.
I never see Levi's for 750, it's 1 for 600-700 and always 2 for 1000.
The rentals are more iffy. I pay 3800 in the city center, but that is not "normal", some pay 8000 for the same.
City center square meter price is 40000 to 50000 depending upon location (it's 45000 where I live), not 36000.
Average post tax salary is open to a lot of fudge. Statistics Denmark has it at 267 652 per year pre tax on average for every person in the municipality (including toddlers and the elderly).
From personal experience 19000 is a bit on the low side as an average for people living and working (not communing in and working, or living and studying) in Copenhagen. |

on May 04 2016 13:01:41
Hvar sært tú fitness 180? SÃggi bara fitness 466 (er hann ak broyttur),ið er way of. Okkurt er eisini prÃsir sum er flótandi, fert til fitness og spyr um rabat, so aleppur tú lættliga undir 300. Gangi útfrá tað er tað sama à DK.
Men tað verður væl aldrin bÃligari at búgva à FO, so leingi tær flestu gerandisvörurnar skulu innflytast.
Um eg so uppdateri prÃsir, kann so tann næsti ikki bara fucka alt uppaftur so nei tað tÃmi eg ikki |
on May 04 2016 13:14:00
Tann vanliga intro/rabat her er 99,- um mánan. |
on May 04 2016 13:16:34
Um eg so uppdateri prÃsir, kann so tann næsti ikki bara fucka alt uppaftur
Haldi hattar riggar vid at taka miðal av øllum sum senda inn. |

Jogvanth segði at fitness kostaði 180 longri uppi.
Yndi 369,-
FaroeFitness 499.-
Vælvera 500,-
Miðal av tà er 456,-
Hatta er sjálvandi prÃsurin fyri ein mánaða, uttan rabatt fyri hald og prutt osfr., men tann rætti prÃsurin til hesa samanberingina er ikki tann minsti prÃsurin sum man kann fáa hvis man fer bÃligasta stað og kennir onkran osv., tað skal vera tann prÃsurin sum tey flestu fáa undir vanligum umstøðum. |
on May 04 2016 19:51:06
Vælvera er 369,- stendur eisini á heimasÃðuni. Men har er so nógv sum er skeivt. Men lÃka mikið, væl dýrari at búgva à FO, but money can't buy everything Homer...... |
on May 04 2016 21:56:01
