This is a very good feature, even though it requires an "advanced" phone.
However, I wonder how many accounts are hacked because of weak passwords and brute force and how many are hacked using programming exploits.

This should work for any phone as you can get a call or sms instead of using a dedicated app.
Hackers exploiting a vulnerability in the login process (i.e. not just using brute force) may still be shut down by this, simply because the two-factor adds another factor to the process.

I agree, this is a very good precaution, but as always, it's not failsafe.
I'm going to be checking out the sms-service.

How many of us have had problems with hackers and need increased security in our accounts? Personally, I don't see the need at the moment.
