The video I mentioned last game night here in KBH. It doesn't look like he does that much damage with the aluminum bat. Perhaps he would have fared better with a wooden bat.

I don't know what you guys were talking about then, but I'm gonna give my $0.02 anyway. An aluminium bat will do more damage than a wooden bat. The advantage of aluminium bats is (in addition to far better durability) that the weight can be distributed from the handle to the thick part, making the bat easier to swing faster (with the same weight).
Newton teaches us that Force (F) is the product of mass (m) and acceleration (a): F = ma or F = mv² where v is velocity. So, a faster swing with the same mass equals more hurt.

There is an ongoing discussion in baseball about aluminium bats being too dangerous. Balls hit with aluminium bats travel up to 8 mph faster than balls hit with wooden bats.

That is correct, you don't know what we guys where talking about. Which was if you, in a brawl, could get enough centrifugal force on an aluminium bat with a liquid core to take advantage this feature, and if the bat would be too light if you couldn't.

Liquid cores? Are you just making up stuff?
Norlanderon September 08 2010 02:54:54
Liquid cores are shit compared to kinetic reflection cores...

hey guys, this is a streetfight, not a science convention!
