Wow - I'm actually surprised that I didn't hate this version. I'm not even sure which version I like more. There are some interesting choices in terms of who sings what, and I like the rap thing too.
I'm still torn as to which version I prefer when the line "Let's realize that a change will only come...". Do I prefer the original Cindy Lauper, Celine Dion, or Roffen? |

nice version to be sure.
Haven't had the pleasure of hearing Roffen hit those high notes, so until then I'll go with this one |

I do hate this version. Kinda liked it to start of with, but then it just got baaaaaad on me. Give me the old version any day. That's a great song. |

Thank you for the kind words, Laluu.
I will be playing this special edition of the song at first opportunity for your pleasure, Grizlas. Stardust may be touching you then. |

Well it's the same song, just different people singing it. In this version some people are fine, and others think they are on american idol trying to out sing each other and it makes it rather painful to listen to, having god knows how many voices trying to sing Mariah Carey style is fucking torture. And Wyclef Jean would someone please just take him out, he strikes me as the kind of guy who spends every night at the karaoke bar listening to his own voice. I would rather he not sang. |

Agree JT on the start, then comes "I can't sing so use some effect on my voice thingie" or what its name and rapes it. If there was a god up there somewhere, he/she/it would have cast some cleansing flames on that studio where Cher's "I belive" was recorded.... belive in that ho.

Auto-Tune. I actually liked it when Cher did it; not that I liked her music per se, it got annoying real fast, but it was original and she used the effect well. After that it has solely been abused and over-used, and is mainly used to disguise the fact that these people really can't sing.
This version was actually really good, except for Wyclef's Tuvan throat singing, Celine's capable, but ever-annoying singing, all the auto-tuning, no-talent, mouth-full-of-crap losers, and all the other nobodies I didn't know. They seriously couldn't find more, well-known singers? A lot of those people weren't even singers. The only one I liked in this version was Michael Jackson, and he was just copy-pasted.
Yeah, this version sucked balls.
New rule: If you can't sing, don't! |

I would like to agree with Vuzman here, don't sing if you can't... but I don't Songs with lousy singers that think they can sing is hilarious! |
