I kind of hate Nightwish, but they have made Pink Floyd's High Hopes sound like a Nightwish song, it kind of rocks i'm afraid.

Well they usually do great covers, but this one is just odd (read: not very good) they only sing the chorus whats up with that

Maybe we should ban Igor from this thread just so that we don't flood it. This cover ROCKS!

Hmmm... It's surprisingly good (although I tend to like the Killers' early stuff).
I heard a cover of "Brothers in Arms" a couple of days ago, and I didn't like it. The guitar just sounds wrong to me.
...And something slightly different:

Metallica should stick to cover Metallica songs, that was just painful. And the Killers didn't like their version of R&J at all. And why cover Brothers in arms, you're always going to pale in comparison.

This is on the album Carry On from 2007, but this live acoustic version is fantastic. It's from the bootleg Unplugged in Sweden:

I'm surprised that someone managed to turn "Friday" into an ok song.
Does anyone know why some of the videos start playing automatically, when I open this thread? Is there any way to change it?

It's a hack to make non-embeddable files play anyway. It uses the old YoutUbe-player which was on auto-play. We can change it back, but that will make the songs non-playable.
I see how annoying it can be on pages like this, so maybe we should revert it?
