here's one of Yngwe. He is one of the greats after all...even if his playing is not to my taste.

How come all bass players look like they're playing a guitar that's way too big with a strap that's way too short (or if you're in Metallica way too long)? smiley

Griz come on "he's one of the greatest after all" what kind of BS is that. Satriani kicks Malmsteen's behind :-p hmm forgot Vai.

"Such clear tone...Much better than the original!" *blink* WTF! I hope this is somekind of joke. Origianl recordings of Crowley are pretty old so clear tone shouldn't be expected. Newer live recordings are pretty much perfect since Wylde likes to keep the songs of Rhodes as close to the original as possible.

If any intress sohuld be check.

Just some great guitarists Hendrix, Atkins, Clapton, King, Page, Santana, Knopfler, Moore, Darrel... the list just goes on and on. And how about Kára Sverrson. Ok I'm stopping my rambling for now.

Did you just diss Randy Rhoads, one of the most legenedary guitarists ever? Dude! smiley He wrote the music (the guitar-parts, but also some of the music) to two of Ozzy's best albums Blizzard of Ozz (Ozzy's best-selling ever) and Diary of a Madman.

He's the genius behind Crazy Train, Suicide Solution, Mr. Crowley, I Don't Know, Diary of a Madman and others.

Mr. Crowley with Randy Rhoads not sitting in his bedroom in front of a webcam but live after a bottle of vodka and three lines of coke:

Here's Randy Rhoads's Dee, another YouTube favorite (Too bad we can't see him play it):

Dude, that's not a star-shaped guitar, that's a Flying V, a legend. And I don't think anyone in any video from 1981 could escape being labeled a faggot by your hypocritic asssmiley

I've found Rhose a new guitar. Not so much Flying V about it, but more fitting:

We are going to see Emmanuel in march smiley

Well I haven't seen the video of that guy playing "Mr. Crowley" because i'm at work (security bs), and because my hd went MIA. But he sure as hell is not better than Randy Rhoads, thats an insult if there ever was one smiley

How can I say that when I haven't even seen the video, because i'm pretty damn sure of it, thats why. But I'll take a look at it at some point, and then I'll say excactly the same thing again.

Randy Rhoads is a legend, uncomparable, classic and if it wasn't for him Ozzy would have been nowhere, singing in a grave with the monotone voice of his, pardon my french.

Why would I want to end every post the same way?

What the hell are you talking about?? Gilmour is NO show and ALL substance... He's not so well known for his technical proficiency , but he is hugely influential and his style is instantly recognizable.

Let's listen to Comfortably Numb, which is consistently rated as either the best or one of the best guitar solos of all time. The first solo is at 2:25 and the second and longer solo is at 4:50, but listen to the whole song to really capture the feeling:

Any list over best guitar solos will inevitably feature several of Gilmour's solos;
Time, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Money, High Hopes, Another Brick In The Wall, etc. etc.

Btw, David Gilmour is the guitarist in Pink Floyd, since you don't seem to know who he is.
