Ever since reading about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, I have wondered if she will become the 21st century Franz Ferdinand.

When Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914 it triggered a cascade of events, which culminated in the First World War and there is a case to be made that Bhutto's legacy might be the same...

Bhutto has many followers that can trigger a civil war in Pakistan, which can spiral completely out of control, with regards to both Sunni/Shia/Secular Islam (People of Pakistan vs. Iran vs. Armed Forces of Pakistan), and Musilm/Hindu relations. India has nothing to gain from a completely failed state with nuclear weapons along it's borders.

Will be interesting to see what the next weeks will bring.
